Ran a lot today, then went to the cobalt to pay one of the bands from last week. They bought me a beer, I watched their set, and made my way home really slowly. Fell asleep early and woke up at 4 without the aid of alarms. Weird.

Oooooooh, a cool picture of me dancing with lights! Oooooooooooooooooooo

Here's Matt showing off his lucky facial structure. Lucky.

March 27th, 2009.

We went to an afterparty on the 26th, so this is the wee hours of the 27th. Every girl at the party became entangled in this drunken web of a catfight, which included ugly rounds of hair pulling, swear-shrieking, and a butcher knife.

Pictured above are the boys at the party, watching.

Show was tonight, it went OK. Here is one of the bands, and the crowd at its densest.

MMM, PHO SAMPLER!!!

March 22, 2009.

Went out for diner breakfast, Matt talked to his grandparents on the phone. I forget what we did during the day, but in the evening we went out to a Steampunk party. It was OK.

March 20th, 2009.

Went down Hastings looking for hot pink paint. Got it, and turned an old storage room into a girl-room where I can do girl-things and listen to girl-music all day long :P

got the blues, changed the hair.

Today an old friend of mine passed away. It was a day of emails and phone calls from people all over the world, who I haven't spoken to in years. When Mailys and I were little we lived in the same neighborhood in Shanghai, and we used to race bikes around the compound, dance to the Spice Girls in her room, and break into houses that were under construction. She wanted to be a singer when she grew up, which was fair enough, because at the time she sang the theme song from The Prince of Egypt way better than any other 9 year old.

I'm sad that I barely knew the woman she was becoming, but I'll never forget that special little gal.

I don't remember much about this day, but we found this spider in the laundry box!!!!

Here is Duck, scratching Matt's CD book.

March 13th, 2009.

After hefty schoolwork was completed, a delicious homesick-creating curry meal was prepared. We both teared up, because scents can do that, and watched Let the Right One In. We then became total friday night losers by falling asleep and not waking up until early saturday, despite 4 party invitations. Four! We suck!

Someday this photo will be worth millions. Its Matt's Black Bile offering to Evan Dorkin, plus a cat and a bag of ham. (the second two things werent supposed to be included, but hey.)

March 10th, 2009.

Did a lot of work for the show (2 weeks from now!) today. 2 confirmed bands, 1 hopeful one, and 4 for a show next month. Plus I got word from a goth band in the states that wants to move their tour through Vancouver, depending on "how well my project goes!" I love you craigslist. And bands that speak english. I love you guys too.

Then the cat mangled my planning notebook, so now I just don't know what the future will be like.

Monday

March 9th, 2009.

Woke up to some magical christmas snow. Abriel and I had delicious coffee before heading over to the art gallery. It was most excellent. I played drums and she played electric guitar and we were broadcast throughout the lobby of the Vancouver Art Gallery.
We took pho home and ate quickly before she had to catch her bus and leave forever. :( :*(

March 8th, 2009.

Abriel and I went out to Chinatown where we encountered overpriced Nightmare Before Christmas wallets and really drunk hobos. Ordered Indian for dinner, and watched RuPaul's Drag Race.

Sunday

March 7th, 2009.

Took the hangovers for a long, long walk through Stanley Park today. More good conversations, delicious pho, and cupcakes! I got a pink one, Abriel got a green. Came home for siesta, and soon we'll be out for the midnight movie.

March 6th, 2009.

Abriel=here! We got wasted and spoke of so many wonderful things. Also planned a reunion bachelorette party for Kristi, which would be sweeeeet.

Good day Good day! Had school for hours and hours, met with a woman who helped me sign up to volunteer at halfway house, ran 8 miles, came home. Went out to have first meeting with my new boss and it turns out I'm even getting business cards! I'm a real promoter! Aaafafaff. Excites.
Went from there to a burlesque class, where the teacher was way-supportive and prospects sound promising. Now I want to be a professional burlesquer and I want my schtick to be contorting while throwing homemade cupcakes at leering audience members.

Here is me after the nap I had after all this excitement.

March 4th, 2009.

Went up to school and saw Harmonia. There were strict rules against photography, but check me out. Rules are for dweebs.

Wednesday

March 3rd, 2009.

Had class all day and into the night. Matt came home WITH A GIANT LOAF OF BREAD and we cut up everything in the fridge and had delicious soup. I dreamed that I had Brad Pitt over for a sleepover. Not like that, actually. In the dream we told ghost stories and played computer games and ate popcorn while watching movies and text messaged each other after "lights out." What a cool dude.

Tuesday

March 1st, 2009.

Didn't do much this weekend, it was perfectly restful. We both painted a lot, organized a lot, cooked acual meals, listened to new music. Here's my developing jacket. Sweet!

Sunday

February 28th, 2009.

Today I painted this up. Its still in the uggg-stage, but its all I photographed today. I also misspelled the word "whirlwind," which is slightly embarassing.

Matt and I ate Vietnamese lunch with Christine, then did crafts all night. I'm starting to hear back from lot's of kids who are interested/want to help with the show we're putting on. Which is exciting, its good to finally organize something again. Neither of us have DJed before, but between us we have enough music to play for about 5 months straight, hopefully that will make up for it.

Also, I found this today: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=22xCnFcFrck
This is footage from the last "show" I organized. Please note everyone's enthusiasm as compared to mine. I was embarassed because my punkier-than-thou friends had just showed up and my friends that dye their hair always, ALWAYS make fun of my acapellic tendencies. All over the world this happens to me. Why is that? I don't know. Please also note the freshman 15. Please.

February 27th, 2009.

Sorted out things I don't wear to sell and WIN BIG ON EBAY! Here is some detailing of one of my coveted items, if you like what you see, keep your eyes peeled.

Today I got a job! Which is great, and couldn't happen at a better time. I'm getting paid (?!) to promote and hire bands for a coffeeshop-opening party. I'm working under a company, so it also means free tickets and backstage passes to review shows and interview and do all that fun crap. Totally goood.

February 26th, 2009.

Today I got to school early, mailed in my 8 pages of ugly government analyses, went running, and hung out at school until my last midterm at 10 pm. Then I went to the library and checked out 5 books. My final for art is analyzing Andy Warhol's Blowjob and when I was checking it out I got suddenly and unnecessarily flustered and the librarian totally noticed and my neck still burns a little when I think about it.

Anyway here is Matt playing with cats. I think that night we ordered Chinese and zoned out, making stuff, watching stuff, etc.
